Kate Gosselin is buying a condo in Maryland. The plans of the star of Jon & Kate Plus Eight have been under wraps until now, while husband Jon has proceeded apace and bought an upscale pad in New York.

Kate is buying a condo in an apartment building where a one-bedroom condo rents for $1,600 a month in quaint Rockville Town Square. The red-brick townhouse-style block with a tower is surrounded by bustling shops and eateries. RadarOnline notes that Gosselin's bodyguard, Steve Neilds, keeps an office in Rockville, which is located in the affluent area of Montgomery County. The office is a block away from Gosselin's new location. The couple will keep their family home in Wernersville, Pennsylvania, and alternate their child caretaking stays. Jon & Kate Plus Eight is slated to resume in August.
