Kate Gosselin: kids understanding Jon's behavior would be "too unhealthy."

Jon & Kate Plus 8 said its goodbyes this past Monday, and out came the final reflections on the Jon and Kate Gosselin marriage. Kate Gosselin stated again this week that she and her children are going to miss the show and that she feels Jon is keeping happiness from them. And you know what else Jon keeps from them? His highly-criticized personal life.

However Kate participates in helping Jon keep that secret because she doesn't want the kids to be exposed to their father's poor judgment and somewhat irresponsible lifestyle. "They don't know about girlfriends," she explained. "That's just too unhealthy."

What may also be unhealthy is how Jon flipped out on Mady and Cara Gosselin on Monday's night's Jon & Kate Plus 8 episode when one of them said during preparations for a lemonade stand, "I like the stuff we do with Mommy better." Read how Jon Gosselin lashed out here.

Kate Gosselin's one regret about her family's reality show is that it's over. On Monday night's episode, she cried in front of the camera, saying, "It's too soon and it's been a great run." She added that the show's going off-air was "totally avoidable," but her estranged husband has forced them into this situation. And we weren't sure whether she was talking about life onscreen or off when she said, "I don't like goodbyes."

But considering that she didn't take Jon's roses home with her after their arbitration hearing on Saturday, we're pretty sure she was referring to onscreen goodbyes.
