Kate Moss Admits She Spent "Years and Years" Crying Over Johnny Depp
Stars, they carry torches just like us!
In the 90's, supermodel Kate Moss and bad boy actor Johnny Depp were the world's hottest celebrity couple. They ruled the red carpet, burned the midnight oil and paid thousands of dollars in damages for hotel suites wrecked during their volatile fights. They broke up then got back together, time and again. The world was rapt.
Now, for the first time, Moss is opening up about the infamous romance in a new interview for Vanity Fair's December cover story. And while she was the one who finally pulled the plug on the relationship, it took her ages to get over him.
"Years and years of crying," she tells the magazine. "Oh, the tears!"
"There's nobody that's ever really been able to take care of me," Moss continues. "Johnny did for a bit. I believed what he said. Like if I said, ‘What do I do?' he'd tell me. And that's what I missed when I left. I really lost that gauge of somebody I could trust. Nightmare."
These days, Moss is happily married to British editor Jefferson Hack, whose new coffee table book about his wife's career, entitled Kate: The Kate Moss Book, comes out later this month.
And despite her decades-long party girl reputation, Moss insists she's quieted down...somewhat. "I'm actually quite settled," Moss says. "Living in Highgate with my dog and my husband and my daughter! I'm not a hell-raiser. But don't burst the bubble. Behind closed doors, for sure I'm a hell-raiser."
