Kate Upton's Seeing Stripes
PETA is Mad at Model Kate Upton
Once again, PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) has its panties in a bunch over images used in a magazine. In their crosshairs this time? Sports Illustrated uberbabe, Kate Upton and Harper's Bazaar magazine.
Seems that PETA is peeved that photographer Carine Roitfeld took the shots of the famous swimsuit model alongside "helpless" wild animals that were provided for the shoot by the Miami-based Zoological Wildlife Foundation.
At issue? The following; “The gibbon featured in the photographs is an infant and should be with his mother at all times. Besides the emotional trauma that he has undoubtedly suffered as a result of the separation, his delicate immune system is still developing, and he is susceptible to illnesses that humans carry.”
“All the animals in the photographs are endangered and should be protected, rather than being treated like props,” PETA said.
Have a flip through the photos and let us know your thoughts. Are these photos beautiful and innoucuous or does PETA have a point?
