Katherine's Taking a Break

Katherine Heigl has decided to take a break and go on maternity leave to care for her adopted infant, Naleigh, who has special needs. It sounds like Katherine and Josh Kelley will be spending extra quality time with their new little one-- good for them!

"Sources confirm to me exclusively that she's taking another leave of absence from Grey's — but this time her reasons are personal, not professional," Entertainment Weekly’s Michael Ausiello released.

"Heigl will be going on a belated maternity leave to spend some QT with new daughter Naleigh."

As for Grey's? Well, the show must go on! Katherine Heigl's character, Izzie, will end up being absent from multiple episodes as Katherine takes a break from it all and settles down.

Is it just me, or do you think that Katherine seems like she's had one foot out the door with Grey's Anatomy for some time now? I'm not certain enough to be placing any bets, but I will say that if Katherine Heigl drifts her way slowly out of the show after this, I won't be surprised.
