Kathy Griffin is headed to Broadway for a no-limits stand-up act called, what else? "Kathy Griffin Wants a Tony." Of course she does. Here's when Kathy Griffin's Broadway show will run, along with how the cheeky comedienne is describing it.
Kathy Griffin's taking to Broadway for a no-holds-barred one-woman show next month. "Kathy Griffin Wants a Tony" will run from March 11 to 13 and 15 to 19 at the Belasco Theater on W. 44th St.

Griffin, who holds two Emmys and a Grammy nomination, said: "While I have been asked to understudy for 'Spider-Man' and take over for Al (Pacino) when he has finished his run in 'The Merchant of Venice', instead I have decided to take my very own show to Broadway."

And the gig will include your usual Griffin gags, all pointed straight at the rich and famous. Word has it Kathy Griffin's material will be made up of "fresh material due to the revolving door of pop culture, political and celebrity missteps." As far as being mean goes, nobody does it better than Kathy Griffin.
