Katie Holmes Fired Bella Cruise From Fashion Company

The divorce settlement between Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise may have been quick and painless, but no doubt there will be some more fallout from the marital rubble.

Case in point, Holmes fired Cruise's daughter, Bella Cruise, from her post at Holmes' clothing line company, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The interesting part? Holmes fired her two months ago!

Hmm ... sounds like Holmes may have been getting her ducks in a row before she filed for divorce.

It makes you wonder what reason she gave Cruise for canning her from the company.

A source told The Hollywood Reporter: "There was never any trouble between them. Bella called Katie ‘Mom.' She was fired out of the blue, and once Katie filed for divorce, it all made sense. This was a carefully planned ambush. Katie didn't want Bella working for her anymore because she was Tom's kid."

Buzz is swirling about how Holmes and Cruise reached a divorce settlement so quickly, with many pointing to Holmes' holding Scientology secrets over Cruise's head.

Under their agreement, their six-year-old daughter Suri will continue to live with mom in NYC and dad will have visitation rights.

Interestingly, former Scientology exec, Karen De La Carriere, told The Hollywood Reporter that Katie's decision to fire Cruise's daughter was courageous, noting, "Katie ambushed Tom Cruise and in so doing outwitted some of the most controlling people on Earth."
