Katy Perry might be hooking up with unfunny man Russell Brand! The singer may have insulted Kanye after his VMA outburst, while Russell defended him, but the two are definitely in sync regarding another topic: their mutual attraction for each other! Try to suppress the gag reflex.

After the VMAs this past weekend, Katy Perry supposedly was seen kissing Russell Brand after his hosting duties! I think we all know that he didn't do that well, which means that Katy either has a more horrible taste in men than we thought, or she was feeling particularly vulnerable for some reason.

One source happened to be at Avenue in New York on Sunday night, and saw the two mid-smooch. By the way, it didn't seem like it was their first time getting close, either.

The source said "They were sitting together, flirting and whispering to each other with their faces very close. Then Russell leaned in for a long kiss. It didn't look like this was the first time. He was looking extremely pleased with himself."

Kissing a guy who looks like the cat that ate the canary? Katy Perry, we hope, will forget this one very soon! If they start stepping out as a couple, it's not going to be pretty.
