Kelly Clarkson Has #1 'American Idol' Song Ever

Underwood Still Has Best Album

Kelly Clarkson is an idol among idols. The singer's "What Doesn't Kill You"  has officially become the top single ever by an American Idol alum, passing Carrie Underwood's "Before He Cheats."

Clarkson, 30, is now the reigning Idol queen after "What Doesn't Kill You" (3.51 million downloads) blew past Underwood's 2006 hit "Before He Cheats" (3.509 million) as the most downloaded Idol song of all time.

Clarkson has a number of other tracks to surpass the 2 million download mark, including 2009's "My Life Would Suck Without You" (2.64 million), 2005's "Since U Been Gone" (2.48 million) and "Don't You Wanna Say," a duet with country star Jason Aldean (2.105 million).

While Clarkson, the winner of the first season of American Idol, takes the crown with the most singles downloaded (24.1 million), Carrie Underwood still has the most downloaded albums (13.2 million).

Underwood also has Clarkson beat at the Grammy's: Carrie is up 5 to 2 in the music awards.

Third place on the Idol list of most downloaded singles belongs to Jordin Sparks, the winner of American Idol's sixth season. Her song "No Air," a duet with Chris Brown, has been downloaded 3.43 million times.
