Kendra Wilkinson Shares The Secrets Of Her Labor
Wilkinson gave interview two days after Hank IV's birth!
The more we get to know her, the more we see that Kendra Wilkinson is a lot more than just the Playmate next door. She's actually somebody you might want to know, and according to her new interview with OK! magazine, giving birth to her baby boy last week was just like labor for any of us: she didn't know what to expect!
Wilkinson's labor was induced, she admits, as the pregnancy went full-term. The 24-year-old first-time mom says that was a comfort: "The good thing about being induced is that it's like planning a trip, just very calm," she said.
But at the same time, knowing when Hank was coming made her anxious -- listen to this! "We ate a huge dinner before we came to the hospital," Wilkinson said. "I ate a whole batch of brownies because I was nervous. No wonder he's 9 pounds!" She also told the magazine, "I was induced early in the morning; then it was wait, wait, wait. I was experiencing contractions throughout the day, and I was anxious. I kept checking the monitor every second, like 'Is it happening yet?'"
And when it did happen, she says seeing Hank made her forget about the nerves of the delivery: "I have labor brain. I forgot everything that happened!"
Husband Hank Baskett can't believe what a superstar his wife is, as he added, "I am in straight awe, trust me."
