Kirk Cameron Calls Todd Akin "A Good Man" [VIDEO]
Kirk Cameron Defends Todd Akin on Today Show
Kirk Cameron only seems to come out of the woodwork these days to voice his rather narrow-minded opinions.
Case in point, his defense of Missouri GOP Senate candidate Todd Akin's controversial rape comment.
It seems Cameron is a fan of Akin, coming to his defense on the Today show, calling him "a good man."

Akin created a stir on Sunday when he said pregnancy could be prevented if it was "legitimate rape" because "the female body has ways to try to shut that whole thing down."
Akin later apologized on Mike Huckabee's radio show, saying, "rape is never legitimate. It is an evil act committed by violent predators. I used the wrong words in the wrong way."
Cameron sat down with the Today show's Kathie Lee Gifford and Hota Kotb to voice his opinion on Akin, noting, "Clearly, this is a man who is advocating the sanctity of life through and through. He said he misspoke and he apologized for it. And I like to evaluate people based on their entire life, their entire career, all they stand for. He loves his wife, he's got six children. I believe he's a good man. He's now in a very, very difficult spot."

I'm still baffled why anyone would care would Cameron thinks enough to interview him. Do we really need a former child star to weigh in?
