Kirstie Alley Gains it All Back
But can she get it off again?
After losing a great deal of weight through the Jenny Craig program, Kirstie Alley hadn't stepped on a scale in over a year. When she finally did, she was shocked by what it said. But now she's determined to lose it all again.
Kirstie started screaming when she saw she was at her highest weight ever, 228 pounds. She says, "I was so much more disgusting than I thought!" She was surprised by how much she weighed, but understands how it happened.
Kirstie claims she went a bit wild after ending her stint as spokesperson for Jenny Craig. She says that while she was with the company, "...there's responsibility. You have a person every week standing over you when you get on the scale... But the first nail in the coffin was that I didn't have to weigh in."
The foods that are most dangerous to Kirstie include Chinese food, sugar, and butter. She even admitted to eating 2 cups of pasta with 6 tablespoons of butter. Six tablespoons!
She says a new weight-loss plan is now her top priority. "I'm ready to work. I messed up along the way, but I'm not going to concentrate on that," she says. "Get back on the horse, lose the freakin' weight, and then just move forward!" Kirstie plans to hire a trainer and sign up for a triathlon in order to get back down to 140 pounds.
While working for Jenny Craig, Kirstie lost 75 pounds and got down to a healthy 145 pounds.
Kirstie says she knows she's "going to have to work harder than last time," but that she's "way excited." We wish her the best of luck!
