Kirstie Alley Is Headed For Reality Television
She's a mess, but is she an interesting mess?
Kirstie Alley is often one big mess. And that makes her perfect for a reality show, right? At first her show was going to focus on weight loss, but since Kirstie hasn't really been doing too well with that, it's now going to focus on several areas of her life.
Will you be watching? Kirstie Alley is really close to signing a deal with A&E that will give her her very own reality show. Here's a brief description of what the show will be all about: "This time out, the show comes as Alley prepares to launch a weight loss program... Alley is also "producing a feature film, patenting multiple inventions, working hard to raise two normal Hollywood teenagers, taking care of eight ringtail lemurs and, on top of everything, looking for love."
Wow, it certainly seems like she has a lot going on! And she already is in the public eye so much, so we guess it makes sense for Kirstie Alley to get her own show. But we have to wonder if it will help her with the weight loss or just give her more excuses not to get healthy.
We have a feeling this is the type of show that will get a ton of viewers at first, but people will tire of it pretty quickly. We doubt Kirstie's life is really that exciting and she seems a little dramatic. Do people really care enough to want to see her taking care of eight lemurs?
But A&E's nonfiction/alternative programming senior VP Robert Sharenow says, "Kirstie is exactly the kind of star A&E is drawn to... Her personal life has been playing out in the media for years, but this will be the first time she'll be opening up her home to reveal her real life for the cameras."
Sherri Shepherd said on The View yesterday that she is interested in watching this reality show and will definitely be tuning in. Wil you?
