Kyra Sedgwick Feels Vulnerable Due to Madoff
Kyra Sedgwick has revealed she and her husband's financial losses in Bernie Madoff's $65 billion Ponzi scheme were serious but not devastating. The 43-year-old Closer star, who is married to actor Kevin Bacon, said: "It's been really unpleasant and makes you feel really vulnerable.
But the fact of the matter is that we did not lose everything ... And we have a lot of things to be grateful for in our life, and we never ever forget that." Disgraced New York financier Madoff faces a potential 150-year prison term at his June 29 sentencing after he pleaded guilty to masterminding the scheme - the biggest in history. Sedgwick reportedly used to joke that she and Bacon lived boring lives and needed a scandal. The couple have two children, Sosie and Travis. The star, who commutes to work between New York and Los Angeles, also said: "Every year I think, 'It's going to be easier this year,' and it's actually harder ... You miss moments. And, as a mother, that's hard."
