LFO to Perform Reunion Concert
The return of the boy bands continues
I still think about them from time to time. They basically made my summer way back in high school. But I've long grown out of Abercrombie and Fitch and thought LFO was gone forever. Could I have been wrong?
A lot has changed since LFO had some success (New Kids on the Block had a bunch more hits), but allegedly they're coming back. News has just come out that LFO is reuniting for a concert in New York City. This is the only concert that's been announced, but we have to wonder if more is in store for LFO? Like another album? Are they going to pull a New Kids on the Block?
Remember "Summer Girls"? It's the song with amazing lyrics like "New Kids on the Block had a bunch of hits/Chinese food makes me sick/And I think it's fly when girls stop by for the summer/I like girls that wear Abercrombie and Fitch." They get worse (better?) too.
LFO had a couple more hits, one with "Girl on TV" about lead singer Rich Cronin's girlfriend at the time, Jennifer Love Hewitt. "Every Other Time" also got some airtime. In 2003, Cronin, Brad Fishchetti, and Devin Lima went on an indefinite hiatus and tried to work on their own projects. Which you probably didn't hear anything about.
We wonder what kind of reception they'll have waiting for them upon their reunion. I don't have to tell you I'm running to my basement to get my two (yes, two!) LFO CDs and Abercrombie and Fitch sweatshirt. What? I love a little nostalgia.
