Lacoste Is Launching a Jewelry Line
It took long enough!
You know, we're actually super surprised that Lacoste doesn't already have a jewelry line. In fact, we didn't even realize they didn't until we heard they are going to be launching one. There's so much potential for a Lacoste jewelry line!
We think the launching of a jewelry line is finally signaling the fact that Lacoste is here to stay for the ladies. After all, remember when Lacoste was simply a man's favorite polo? In recent years, we've all been wearing more and more Lacoste, from their polos to their dresses, and even their perfume!
So we can't wait to get our hands on some of their jewelry. We're sure they'll have a few alligator pieces, but think they'll also design lots of trendy, chunky pieces. We're hearing there will be necklaces, bracelets, and plenty of cell phone accessories. Of course, we're totally over the whole cell phone charm idea (do cell phones even have antennas anymore?), but could get behind the idea of a cute, brightly-colored cell phone bag.
In a statement, Lacoste's CEO said, "The Lacoste fashion jewelry is part of the strategy developed with our partners to propose a more complete feminine offer to our clients... This new license confirms our willingness to increase our share among women to accompany the apparel and leather goods development."
