Lady Gaga Attends VMAs with Kermit the Frog
It's cool to be green.
Lady Gaga has topped her own outrageousness. The "Poker Face" singer, who's made a name for herself with a penchant for wacky pantsless outfits, showed up to MTV's Video Music Awards last night with an odd date -- Kermit the Frog.
The pop, dance and fashion icon arrived on the VMA red carpet dressed in a bizarre black chicken/Phantom of the Opera outfit, with the tiny green Muppet at her side.
"He's been a really good date," Gaga said, as she stepped out of her limo. "It's our first date, but we've been eyeing each other for a while."
Kermit actually decided to stay in the limo and leave his date at the show, presumably because a little girl by the name of Miss Piggy wouldn't appreciate her main green man photographed on the arm of another woman. "We're just friends!" he claimed.
So instead Kermit gave Gaga a quick kiss, and she darted inside to see how many of her nine VMA nominations she could cash-in on.
The rest of the night was marked by a few other amazing/shocking moments, including a moving performance from Madonna and Janet Jackson to her late brother, and an awkward moment when Kanye West swiped the microphone from Taylor Swift during her acceptance speech for best female video.
