Lady Gaga Inspired by Princess Diana

Lady Gaga has revealed that she was inspired by Princess Diana in the video for her single Paparazzi. Gaga, real name Stefani Germanotta, said the reference point for the clip, nominated for an MTV Video Music Award (VMA), was Princess Diana.

The accompanying pictures of the star, who is known for her eccentric dress sense, was shot by Mario Testino, who regularly photographed the late princess while she was alive. The 23-year-old singer said: "Diana was the most iconic martyr of fame. "She died because of it."
