Lady Gaga Joins the Paparazzi

Oh, Lady Gaga. We have such mixed feelings about you. You're so totally weird, but some of your music is so totally catchy. Sometimes I try not to like you, but mostly I just can't help it.

I was pretty ambivalent when Lady Gaga first hit the popular scene. "Just Dance" was OK. A fine dance tune, but I didn't find it overly amazing and I figured Lady Gaga was nothing special. But then she came out with "Poker Face" and I have to admit, I was addicted. I started seeing Lady Gaga a lot more and realized she was an interesting character to say the least. But her music was super catchy!

But then? Then "LoveGame" was released and I started being a Lady Gaga hater again. Who wants to listen to a song about taking a ride on a disco stick? Not I. So, yes, I wrote Lady Gaga off. But then she did it again with "Paparazzi."

I really like the slow jam of "Paparazzi" and the sweet lyrics. A kind of different take on what the paprazzi are. Lady Gaga really showed a different side of herself with "Paparazzi" and it's a side I like.

"I'm your biggest fan I'll follow you until you love me/Papa-paparazzi/Baby there's no other superstar you know that I'll be your/Papa-paparazzi/Promise I'll be kind, but I won't stop until that boy is mine/Baby you'll be famous chase you down until you love me/Papa-paparazzi."

So, now I've resigned myself to the understanding that sometimes I love her and sometimes I hate her. Sometimes I'm entertained and sometimes I'm not impressed at all. And that's who Lady Gaga is to me. How do you feel about her?
