Lady Gaga Slams Paris Hilton

Gaga and Paris Hilton went to the same high school.

When Lady Gaga was first growing popular in late 2008, her biggest claim to fame was that she and Paris Hilton had attended the same school. But Gaga is indicating that she and the Hilton heiresses ran in different circles...and while the Hilton girls were known for money, their status among schoolmates wasn't all that flattering.

We reported recently when Lady Gaga dressed like a freak at -- er, attended -- her younger sister's high school graduation at the Convent of the Sacred Heart all-girls Catholic high school on New York's Upper East Side. Indeed both Paris and Nicky Hilton graduated from the same high school as the Germanotti sisters, but Gaga's speaking out for the first time on why they wouldn't have been friends."It's true [that we went to school together]," Lady Gaga said, "but I don't see [Paris] as an artist."

Wow. Gaga continued: "People assume that all the girls who went to my school were like Nicky and Paris -- and the truth is that I went to a very, very religious school and some girls were very artistic and some did drugs and didn't give a f**k."

Which group did the Hilton girls belong to? Gaga's hinting that they were of the latter mentality: "[At school] I was the smart, studious theatre and music student," she says, adding that she removed herself from the tricky-cliquey types. "I didn't hang out with all the popular blonde girls. I wasn't blonde really until I was 20 years old."
