Did fame already kill?

It seems like after Kanye's VMA outburst everyone was a bit surprised his Fame Kills tour with Lady Gaga was still on. Then again, it would have been a bit weird to cancel a whole tour because Kanye West acted like a jerk. Now, it's been announced the tour has been canceled.

No reason has been given as to why the tour was canceled. But, of course, there is a lot of speculation. Many people are saying the tour was canceled due to poor ticket sales. But for some reason, we just find that hard to believe. Kanye West sold out his last tour and it seems like everyone is obsessed with Lady Gaga recently. These are stars that just don't have trouble selling tickets to their shows.

But could Kanye West have caused enough of a commotion being mean to Taylor Swift that people are really boycotting him? If you loved Kanye West before the VMAs, did you dislike him so much after that you refused to buy a ticket to his show?

Others are speculating that Kanye West and Lady Gaga's tour managers and other employees just didn't get along and agree on anything. Lady Gaga likes to play at smaller, more intimate venues, and Kanye West likes to play at huge arenas. Obviously.

Or maybe it's just because Kanye has decided he really needs to take that break he talked about on Jay Leno's show after the VMAs. He had said he was planning on taking some time off to get his life together and make some changes and, "I've never taken the time off to really - you know, just music after music and tour after tour." So, maybe Kanye just needs this time off.

In any event, refunds to ticketholders are being issued, making it seem clear that the tour won't be re-scheduled.
