Lady Gaga's Ex-Boyfriend Suing Her for $30.5M
He wants to see the money!
Maybe just one more reason why you shouldn't mix business with pleasure? Lady Gaga's ex-boyfriend and producer Rob Fusari filed a $30.5 million lawsuit against Lady Gaga claiming she ditched him just as her career was soaring. Uhh, welcome to life?
People break up all the time. Which is why you probably shouldn't date one of your clients, especially when they could potentially make it big. Back when Lady Gaga was Stefani Germanotta, a friend introduced her to Rob Fusari in March 2006.
Fusari claims he worked with Gaga every day, "radically reshaping her approach" and the two co-wrote songs like "Paparazzi." He even helped her choose her new Lady Gaga name. Allegedly, when Gaga and Fusari started their relationship, it turned into a business partnership, too, and they created a joint venture Team Love Child LLC together.
But then the relationship ended as most relationships do. And Fusari says he was denied a 20% share of song royalties, 15% of merchandising revenue, and more. He says he's received $611,000, but that isn't his full share. Wah Wah.
.
It seems like whenever someone makes it big, someone from the past comes back and says they deserve something for it. We obviously don't know the full story here, but doesn't suing for $30.5 million seem a little excessive? When you're in the business, it seems to make sense to avoid dating the people you directly work with; it just never seems to end well.
At least this ex-boyfriend didn't hope Lady Gaga would fail. He just wants a piece of the success!
