Lady Gaga's Famous Meat Dress Going to a Museum [PHOTOS]
No, Not as Lunch …
Nothing at last night's MTV Video Music Awards came even close to matching the outrageousness of Lady Gaga's 2010 VMA meat dress, a protein-y frock that is about to hang in a Washington, D.C. museum.
Gaga's dress will be part of a new "Women Who Rock" display at the National Museum of Women in the Arts in D.C., an exhibit by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland.

The dress, complete with meat boots and hat, has been dried, preserved and painted to look like its raw meat state from when Gaga sported it two years ago, USA Today.com reports.
The dress, which she wore as she was escorted by U.S. soldiers who had been impacted by the military's "don't ask, don't tell" policy, was the pop star's statement on gay rights among military personnel.
"Pretty soon we're going to have as much rights as the meat on our own bones. And I am not a piece of meat," Gaga said of what might happen if people didn't stand up for their rights.

The "Women Who Rock: Vision, Passion, Power" exhibit, which honors the evolution and impact of women in the music industry, opens Friday, and will also include nods to Loretta Lynn and her song "The Pill," as well as girl groups of the '60s, Joni Mitchell and Janis Joplin, classic artists like Tina Turner and Aretha Franklin and current stars like Rihanna, Alicia Keys and Carrie Underwood.
Of course, the meat dress is hardly Lady Gaga's only memorable fashion statement. Below, check out our slideshow of Lady Gaga's most outrageous moments.
