Lady Gaga's Injured - Has Canceled Tour
Little Monsters Will Have to Wait to See Their Gaga in Concert
Lady Gaga has sustained an injury that's forced her to cancel the remaining dates of her "Born This Way" tour.
The 26 year-old multi-hyphenate performer, has been suffering from hip pain that had gotten so severe she went in for a battery of tests.
"After additional tests this morning to review the severity of the issue, it has been determined that Lady Gaga has a labral tear of the right hip," a post on LittleMonsters.com said Wednesday. "She will need surgery to repair the problem, followed by strict down time to recover. This unfortunately, will force her to cancel the tour, so she can heal."
In fact, the injury is so severe and so painful, that Gaga can't even walk. She was rendered immobile after what turned out to be her final show in Montreal on Monday night. As she tweeted, "I've been hiding a show injury and chronic pain for sometime now, over the past month it has worsened. I've been praying it would heal," she tweeted. "I hid it from my staff, I didn't want to disappoint my amazing fans. However after last nights performance I could not walk and still can't."
The "Born This Way" tour, which was scheduled to last for two years and span six continents, just only got underway last month in Washington state and the cancellation is reported to have cost the production some $35 million in revenue.
