Lauren Conrad Believes in m.powerment
Lauren and mark help girls in need.
Say what you will about Lauren Conrad's design skills, but don't knock her sense of citizenship or her charitable side! Lauren teamed up with mark cosmetics way back in 2008 with a single item sold to fight abuse via its proceeds, and she's still doing what she can to raise awareness about partner violence.

Lauren Conrad's launch of the m.powerment campaign in 2008 was the start of something great: through the sales of a single charitable chain necklace-- and then an expanded collection-- Lauren raised hundreds of thousands of dollars.
$400,000, to be exact. Besides the lovely heart necklace, you can also shop for a lip gloss ($6) with a double-sided design or a heart bracelet for $12. No matter what you choose, 100% of the proceeds go towards the special m.powerment fund.
Lauren is the honorary co-chair of the m.powerment campaign, and in previous releases, it was pointed out just how much visibility she has brought to the campaign. She might be empowering women to stand up for their rights and protect themselves against partner abuse, but she can't do it without people buying her pieces.
If you were shopping for girl-friendly gifts already, perhaps it's time to start browsing available options. With 100% of the proceeds going to an extremely important cause, it feels good getting your special lip gloss from mark... or a sweet bracelet.
