LeAnn Rimes Took Forever Announcing Her Divorce

LeAnn Rimes finally decided to take to her website to announce the news that everyone aready knew: she is planning to divorce Dean Sheremet. It sounds like a robot wrote it, but maybe LeAnn's sick of heading out with inappropriate "close friend" Eddie Cibrian for another weekend of criticism.

The message on her website read "After much thoughtful mutual consideration, Dean and I have agreed to move forward with dissolving our marriage. This decision was amicable and we remain committed and caring friends with great admiration for one another."

It continued, "Thank you so much for all of your continued love and support – it is deeply appreciated."

The weirdest thing of all is that I once caught an episode of Cribs with LeAnn and Dean, and I remember thinking that they seemed sooo in love for a celebrity couple. Sigh--how things change. LeAnn's friend Jeff Berger said that the two are trying to handle things as "mature adults," but it seems pretty grim. Surely things are not as amicable as they sound, considering LeAnn's rumored affair spread far and wide in '09.
