Biography
Kimberly Noel Kardashian was born in Los Angeles on October 21, 1980 to Robert Kardashian and Kris (Hughton) Jenner. Her parents divorced in 1989 and her father, who became a household name after representing O.J. Simpson during his murder trial, died on September 20, 2003. Kris, her mom, married former Olympian Bruce Jenner in 1991, when Kardashian was 11.
Robert and Kris had three daughters and one son: Kim, Kourtney, Khloe and Robert. Kardashian also has two half sisters, Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner. And four step siblings: Brody Jenner, Burton Jenner, Brandon Jenner, and Casey Jenner.
In 2000, at the age of 20, Kardashian married successful music producer Damon Thomas who was ten years her senior. After four years, the pair called it quits.
Kardashian soon found a career in fashion as a stylist to the stars. Some of her clients included Brandy and Lindsay Lohan among others. In 2006, Kardashian and her sisters opened Dash, a clothing boutique in Calabasas, California featuring such designers as Foley & Corinna, Milly, Elizabeth and James, Ella Moss, and Alice & Olivia.
2007 brought the debut of the E! reality series Keeping Up With the Kardashians. The show, which showcases the daily lives of the three sisters and their mother, became a huge hit and is still going strong today. Ryan Seacrest is an executive producer on the show. Later that same year, Kardashian posed for the December issue of Playboy and was featured on the cover and in a pictorial.
Kardashian's first movie role was in the 2008 spoof Disaster Movie co-starring Carmen Electra and Vanessa Minnillo. She also did a guest spot on How I Met Your Mother, the CBS sitcom hit that same year. She was also a contestant on the ABC hit Dancing With the Stars. Her partner was Mark Ballis. She was the third celebrity voted off the show and finished in 11th place.
After meeting Reggie Bush at the Espy Awards in 2007, Kardashian and the football player started dating. The two had a high-profile romance until it was announced they broke up in July of 2009. Prior to Bush, Kardashian was linked to R&B singer Ray J and Nick Lachey.
