Biography

Megan Denise Fox was born in Rockwood, Tennessee on May 16, 1986. Fox began acting and dancing classes at age five in her hometown in Tennessee and continued her training in St. Petersburg, Florida where she moved when she was 10. As for her high school years, she recalls being grounded most of the time due to issues with authority figures. She also reports she didn't have many friends and generally preferred the company of boys to girls.

After several successful years in the modeling business, the outspoken Fox tried her luck in the movie industry. She co-starred in such films as Holiday in the Sun with Mary Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen, Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen with Lindsay Lohan, and Crimes of Fashion before playing a leading role in the monster hit Transformers in 2007 alongside Shia Lebouf. Transformers grossed over $700 million dollars worldwide.

Fox returned as Mikaela Banes in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, the sequel to the blockbuster Transformers. There were some reports of conflict during, mostly with director Michael Bay. After disagreeing on her weight and appearance during filming, they also exchanged heated words during promotion of the film via magazine interviews.

Some of Fox' upcoming roles include the leading role in the Diablo Cody-penned horror/comedy flick Jennifer's Body and a role in Jonah Hex co-starring Josh Brolin.
