Go Ahead, Spill Your Coke Zero All Over This Keyboard

How many breakfasts, lunches, dinners and snacks have you consumed over your computer keyboard? And how many spills have resulted from those noshes? Welcome to Logitech's new K310 computer keyboard, a washable keyboard that can be completely submerged into a soapy bath.

"We've all experienced that moment of distraction – followed by panic, when a cup of coffee or a soda spills all over your keyboard," Sophie Le Guen, senior director of mice and keyboards at Logitech, said in a statement. "Because life and its messes will happen, regardless of how careful you are, Logitech designed the Logitech Washable Keyboard K310 to look and function like new, even over time."

The keyboard (thanks to TheAwesomer.com for the heads up) can be submerged in up to 11 inches of water, and scrubbed with soap and a brush. Holes in its design allow it to drain, so you can give it a good bath and clean off whatever might happen to spill upon it, be it your bowl of soup or a whole can of soda.

So, can it go in the dishwasher? Nah. There's a USB cable that makes that a really bad idea.

But the keyboard itself is sturdy, and the letters, numbers and symbols on the keys are lasered on, so there's no worry about accidentally washing them off. And the keys are rated to last for up to five million keystrokes.

Logitech is even touting that the K310 is dust resistant, and comes with a little brush for sweeping off crumbs.

The K310 is also a full-size keyboard, with white keys and a black base, and the stylish accessory comes with a three-year warranty.

The $39.99 keyboard can be pre-ordered now at the Logitech website, and is expected to be available later this month.
