Louis CK Postpones Next Season of Emmy Winning 'Louie' Until 2014
CK Starts Comedy Tour Tomorrow
Comedy is officially dead for the next two years. Louis CK says he's going to shelve his critically acclaimed tv show Louie until 2014 because he just plain old needs a break.
CK broke hearts everywhere today when he announced that his semi-autobiographical, sometimes-depressing-yet-always-hilarious tv show on FX will NOT air in 2013, and instead will be put on hold until the following season.
According to FX president John Landgraf, CK "needs a bit of a break."
The last we saw of Louie's fictionalized version of himself, he was reeling from the loss of a potential gig as host of The Late Show and, following a random encounter and then tragedy, ends up spending New Year's with extended family in China.
But if you'd like to find out how some of those loose threads get tied, you're going to have to wait awhile. Either that or see if CK drops some hints when he goes on tour this Fall, starting in Milwaukee this week and ending in New York City in February.
