MTV's VMA Nominations Announced
Who's leading the pack?
Beyonce and Lady Gaga have the most nominations for MTV's Video Music Awards. It's kind of ironic because MTV doesn't exactly play too many videos anymore. But, even so, it's not very hard to see how Beyonce and Lady Gaga are leading in nominations.
Even though MTV isn't all about the music videos, everyone has seen Beyonce's videos. Even if it's just from Saturday Night Live and Justin Timberlake joking about them. Who can't picture "Single Ladies" in their head? And with Lady Gagas crazy costume choices and music, it's no wonder why she has 9 nominations as well. We were all obsessed with "Poker Face" at one point. We can't wait to see what Lady Gaga's wearing at the awards show!
Maybe somewhat surprsingly, Britney Spears comes in third with 7 nominations. Kanye West and Eminem both have 4 nominations in the exact same categories. Coldplay also has 4 nominations.
The show, which will be hosted once again by Russell Brand, will air on September 13. So far scheduled to perform at the awards show are Taylor Swift, Pink, Green Day and Muse. And some of the presenters include Katy Perry, Ne-Yo, and Chace Crawford.
