Madonna May Be Evicted From NYC Condo For Noise
Madonna being sued, may get evicted for "shaking" noise complaints.
"Only when I'm dancing can I feel this free...at night I lock the doors where no one else can see."
Madonna's been getting into the groove at home. But just because she's locking the door doesn't mean her parties are under wraps -- Madonna's neighbors can hear her, and it's grown into an ongoing and major problem in her New York City apartment building.
The building, said to be an "unassuming" brick structure on Central Park West, is full of neighbors who have stepped forward to complain about Madge's racket. Karen George lives below Madonna and has filed a suit against her for the excessive noise -- said to involve "blaring music, stomping and shaking walls" -- that goes on for sometimes three hours every day as she uses it for a rehearsing studio.
The building board has also gotten involved, saying they've threated to evict Madonna from her abode, for which she paid a reported $40 million.
Madonna's brother Christopher G. Ciccone is said to have designed the space, and he wanted it to have a cozy New York City feel as opposed to her lofty home in Los Angeles. The apartment features hardwood throughout, a white-tiled kitchen, marble and crown moulding, artwork in every room and a gym complete with treadmill, climbing machines and weights. Ciccone said when he brainstormed about the space, he wanted "to make a space for her that was elegant without being weak, peaceful without being boring....when she's here she can relax. There's a city here-you feel you are with people, living with the rest of the world..."
Right, but when you live with the rest of the world, you have to consider them before your shut-in bump and grind sessions.
Lourdes is said to be following in Madonna's footsteps...she wants to be a superstar like Mom. And will Madonna migrate to the $3 million apartment she bought for Jesus Luz if she gets kicked out?
