Madonna Wants a Piece of New Moon

Eyes eternal youth.

We're starting to think we should try to get a part in the Twilight sequel. Why? Because, one, we're obsessed with the books. Sad but true. And, two, because it seems like the thing to do. Seriously. Everyone's doing it. The latest to cave to vampy peer pressure? None other than Madonna herself.

It's true. Word on the very cold, very dark street is that Madge would like to be part of New Moon. Madonna's manager, Guy Oseary, was one of the producers on Twilight, so the Queen has some connections to the underworld. Not that she needs them. She's Madonna, and she seems quite familiar with the quest for eternal life.

It's not yet known to what capacity Madonna will contribute to New Moon. She may want to act, or she may just contribute a song to the soundtrack. We're hoping she takes a part in the movie. There's not really a part available - since so many have already been nabbed - but we wouldn't be opposed to a re-casting of Bella.

It'd be fun to see Madonna wrestle with Edward. Who's freakishly strong now, Eddie?
