Man Takes Drugs, Eats Family Dog
The Sick, Vicious Attack Happened After a 22-Year-Old Texas Man Took the K-2 Drug
And the recent spate of drug-induced "zombie" attacks continue, with the family pet as the new target. After the infamous case of the Miami man who tried to eat another man's face while high on the so-called bath salts drug, a Waco, Texas man has been arrested for getting high and trying to eat his family's dog.
22-year-old Michael Daniel was arrested and charged with the felony crime of animal cruelty after a June 14 incident which allegedly began with him taking the synthetic drug "K-2," WPTV.com reports.
Family members called police after Daniel started assaulting family members, chasing a neighbor and then began growling and barking.
But the worst was yet to come.
Witnesses told police Daniel then grabbed the family dog, beat it up, strangled the 30-40 pound-pooch and then … began trying to eat it.
The poor dog died at the home, WPTV.com reports.
Daniel was taken to the hospital after police arrived and found him with "blood and fur around his mouth," according to The Huffington Post.
