'Man vs. Wild' Star Bear Grylls Gets NBC Reality Show
Bear Grylls to Host 'Get Out Alive'
Man vs. Wild star Bear Grylls is back. Only this time, he won't be pitting himself against the perils of surviving in nature.
Rather, this time 'round Grylls will serve as host of a new reality show competition on NBC, called Get Out Alive, which will put teams of two through the ultimate survival test.

NBC has ordered eight episodes of the series, which will premiere next summer.
Paul Telegdy, president of alternative and late night programming at NBC, noted in a statement: "To meet Bear is to meet a force of nature. He is a magnetic and charismatic talent, whose infectious enthusiasm for adventure inspires people to push themselves beyond their limits. These contestants are in for the ride of their lives!"
There have been no details released just yet about the locations for the challenges, nor any scoop on the prize they'll be competing to win.
