Maria Sharapova Designing Her Own Wedding Shoes

Wouldn't it be nice to be so rich that you can personally design anything you want for your wedding? And then a professional will implement your designs? Sigh, I'm jealous. Maria Sharapova just got engaged and she's already talking about how she'll be designing her own wedding shoes. Of course, she'll probably get them for free!

Actually, I'm not sure what I'm more jealous of: the fact that Maria Sharapova is designing her own wedding shoes, or the fact that she'll be wearing Cole Haans. Cole Haan shoes are the ultimate in comfort (especially the ones with Nike soles!) and style. And it makes sense that Maria will be wearing them; she is a Nike spokesperson, after all!

Maria Sharapova tells People, "I will for sure be wearing Cole Haan because everybody that's been talking to me about weddings and comfortable shoes said, ‘you have to be sure that you're wearing comfortable shoes.'"

It's true! Especially if Maria is planning on being on her feet dancing most of the night. And seeing that Maria and soon-to-be hubby Sasha Vujacic are both athletes, I have a feeling they'll be doing some dancing.

Not only is Maria planning on wearing Cole Haan shoes, but she says, "I'm for sure going to design them." Design-your-own Cole Haan wedding shoes? Now that's an idea I can get behind. I'll definitely be keeping it in mind when it comes time to plan my own wedding. But do you think Cole Haan will offer me a celebrity deal like I'm sure they are Maria Sharapova?
