Mariah Carey Has Cinderella Dream Bed

Mariah Carey sleeps in a Cinderella-style carriage that she had specially designed, it has been claimed. The singer is said to be such a huge fan of the rags-to-riches fairy-tale, she got an interior designer to create a bed that looked like the horse-drawn cart from the fantasy story.

A source said: "She identifies with it because people were hard on her when she was younger." Grammy-winning Carey, who married R&B star Nick Cannon in April 2008, sought out the services of interior designer Kenneth Bordewick to make her dream come true. Sources say he oversaw the creation of the $95,00 hand-painted bed. The insider told a US celebrity magazine: "Mariah didn't care about the price-tag. "She was thrilled with how much it captured the spirit of Cinderella." A representative for Mariah, 39, was unavailable for comment.
