Mariah Carey Launches OPI Nail Collection

Mariah Carey is always expanding her empire, this time launching a nail polish collection for OPI.

The new OPI Liquid Sand formula will, naturally, boast some very Mariah-esque shades.

OPI Executive VP Suzi Weiss-Fischmann commented on the partnership, saying, ''OPI is extremely excited to work with Mariah. She's very passionate about beauty and her nails in particular. Her music served as a wonderful inspiration for glamorous, sultry, vibrant colors."

What can Carey fans expect? Weiss-Fischmann promises it will be "something completely new and exciting.''

Carey has selected four OPI Liquid Sand polishes for her collection: "A Butterfly Moment" (shocker), "Stay the Night," "Anti-bleak" and "Pink Yet Lavender."

What is the liquid sand finish all about? It's described as drying in a textured, "pebbled" finish.

In total, there will be eight colors in the Mariah Carey collection, which will be available in salons in January 2013.
