Mary-Kate Remains Close-Lipped
This is positively scandalous!
The sad and sudden passing of Heath Ledger has left many questions unanswered, most of which have to do with the circumstances surrounding his death. Curiously, Mary-Kate Olsen is involved but she's not talking. Mary-Kate was the first person called when a masseuse found Ledger's body in his New York apartment, but no one is sure why.
The cause of death was determined "an accidental overdose" and a cocktail of various prescription drugs, including the heroine-esque pain-killer OxyContin, were found in his body. Reportedly, Mary-Kate knows something about the drugs, but will only talk to law enforcement once she has been granted immunity. Immunity is a legal condition that makes "a person free from otherwise legal obligations such as liability for damages or punishment for criminal acts."
What the EFF is up with Mary-Kate? Requesting immunity suggests that she not only knows something, but possibly had an illegal contribution, and wants to make sure she isn't held accountable. How suspicious! If she could be of help, why not provide the police--and Heath's family--answers?
