That's Matthew McConaughey's Real Butt You'll Be Seeing in 'Magic Mike'

There will be no butt double for Matthew McConaughey's striptease in the upcoming movie Magic Mike.

McConaughey isn't shy, let's put it that way.

Before you dismiss Magic Mike as a male-stripper flick that's nothing more than eye candy for female audiences (well, that doesn't hurt either), consider that it's directed by Steven Soderbergh.

Soderbergh brings to life the tale of male strippers with stars Channing Tatum, Alex Pettyfer, Matt Bomer, McConaughey and Joe Manganiello.

So, yeah, maybe there's a little something there to look at, too.

McConaughey dished on his role in Magic Mike, in the June issue of The Advocate, saying that his character Dallas' striptease "wasn't in the script, but Soderbergh said in the beginning that if it felt right, I could strip at the end of the movie. I said, ‘I gotta dance, man.' I would regret it for the rest of my life if I was in a male stripper movie and didn't get up there and strip myself."

He notes, "At first it was scary as hell, but then it became like a drug, and I couldn't wait to do it again. Look, I love to dance, but I've never been a stripper. Channing's one of the best hip-hop street dancers I've ever seen, and I didn't want to challenge his style, so I worked on my own strengths. I also knew that my dance had to be the dirtiest. It had to be wonderfully filthy."

So, there's that. Also? No stand-in for his striptease, as McConaughey shares, "No way. That's all me up there. I don't need a stunt ass."

Looks like Mr. McConaughey may have just sold a few more tickets.
