Matthew McConaughey Turns 40 But is a Late Bloomer

Matthew McConaughey has always been a way relaxed, chill guy. He loves the beach, surfing, and banging on his bango drums. We can't believe he's 40 years old. But it's not bothering him because he says he's a late bloomer.

Matthew doesn't seem to let much get him down and he's not sweating 40 too much. He says, "The 30's were good to me and I'm really looking forward to my 40's, 'cause I'm a late bloomer... Got everything I need for a perfect 40th... a happy and healthy lady, son, and another baby on the way."

Yup, Matthew McConaughey's life sounds pretty sweet right about now. The beautiful Camila Alves is having his babies and he doesn't even have to marry her. He has the cutest little son, Levi, who he's often spotted hanging on the beach with. And there's another little one on the way. He has an amazing acting career and the women go crazy over him. What's not to love about being 40?

Matthew spent his 40th birthday partying with friends and family until 4:30 in the morning and he says it's a miracle there was "no blood or glass broken." Maybe he is getting more tame after all!

The hunky actor knows just how he wants to spend the first day of being 40, too. He says he'll, "spend some more time with my family and friends today, grillin' steaks and sippin' beers, celebratin' more to live for."

We hope we'll be seeing a lot more of Matthew McConaughey all the way to his 50th year!
