Has Samantha met her match?
Everyone assumes the upcoming Sex and the City sequel will dazzle fans with wardrobes and wit. But it will also introduce new characters into the lives of Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda. Like British Actor Max Ryan. He's set to play the new lusty love interest to Kim Cattrall's Samantha Jones.
There aren't many details available, but all signs are pointing to the idea that Ryan, 44, will play a European architect named Rikard, just one of Samantha's many leading men in the new movie.
Before landing the Sex and the City job, Ryan most recently appeared in Paul W.S. Anderson's Death Race alongside bullet-headed Crank actor Jason Statham, as well as a horror movie called Three.
The first Sex and the City film was a box-office blockbuster, raking in $415 million worldwide and delighting fans with the dramatic continuation of the lives of their favorite characters. Now, with secret photos, script slips and cast additions, the rumors about the sequel have reached a boiling point.
The film is set to open May of next year, but Carrie and friends seem to be headed for the '80s. The cast has been spotted wearing funky clothes from at least 20 years ago, causing some fans to speculate about what the heck is in store.
