Megan Fox Gets Tattoo in Honor of Mickey Rourke
Fox digs Rourke.
Megan Fox has some more ink. The Jonah Hex actress and Michael Bay archenemy recently added to her tattoo collection, saying it's a special piece of work inspired by an unlikely fellow actor -- Mickey Rourke.
Fox 'revealed' her tattoo to MTV News, saying it's actually in honor of her Passion Play co-star Mickey Rourke.
"I actually got a tattoo that is sort of in honor of him," she said. "It's on my ribs. I don't know if it's been photographed yet, but it'll come out eventually, I'm sure. I just love him very much and think he's very special."
Actually, we're pretty sure it has been photographed. Unless it's a completely new one (who can/wants to keep up with Fox's tattoos these days), EW posted a picture of her rib tat last week. It reads:
"Those who danced were thought to be quite insane by those who could not hear the music."
The quote has been attributed to the 19th century German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche, though Fox's take is said to be a slightly different take.
Either way, I'm not sure what the phrase has to do with Rourke. Fox, who plays a winged circus freak rescued by Rourke's haunted trumpet player in Passion Play, obviously looks up to the actor.
.
Who knows, now that there are rumors she's going to be in Pirates of the Caribbean 4 maybe she'll get a matching Johnny Depp 'Wino' tattoo.
