Men's Skirts Coming In Spring?

Of course, my first thought is, how the heck are they going to sell these? The ladies were talking about it on The View this week and when I did a little research, I discovered it's true. H&M is designing skirts for men for their Spring/Summer 2010 collection.

OK, so Marc Jacobs has been known to wear a skirt or two. But does that mean the common man is going to start purchasing skirts to add to his wardrobe? Me thinks not. I know some pretty fashionable men who are a bit out there in their clothing choices, but I'm fairly certain these guys would never wear a skirt.

So, why is H&M designing skirts. Nobody really know exactly. It's one thing for super couture fashion designers to throw a few crazy outfits in the mix, but H&M is mass-produced clothing that isn't exactly high fashion.

And to make matters worse, in their advertisements, the man is not only wearing a skirt, but tights with the skirt. Really? Maybe I'm totally wrong here and men are going to go crazy for the skirt and tights look this season. What do you think? Is H&M out of their mind or are they one step ahead of us on the men in skirts thing?
