Michael Jackson's personal doctor paid staggering amount
Doctor Conrad Murray was being paid a staggering $150,000 a month to go on tour with Michael Jackson. Jackson was adamant that his physician had to be with him at all times - and said he would not agree to his comeback shows unless Dr Murray was on the pay-roll.
Now Randy Phillips, president and CEO of the company behind the London O2 shows, AEG Live, has admitted they had a "big fight" with Jackson over the demand. "It made no sense," Mr Phillips complained. "We spent a lot of money to take Dr Conrad Murray out of his practice - $150,000 a month plus travel plus hotels plus per diems. As producers of the show it made no sense with the doctors and the medical [experts] in London." Mr Phillips said Jackson "demanded" the doctor of his choice - and the company finally agreed because they were scared of losing the deal.
