The king is still in the building.

The late Michael Jackson had a grand series of concerts prepared for the world before he passed away, and now we will finally get a chance to see what they would have been like. The King of Pop's new film, This Is It, hits theaters today.

Pulled together from over 100 hours of rehearsal and behind-the-scenes footage, This Is It promises to be an eye-opening experience even for the most casual Michael Jackson fan. Movie-goers will be treated to a glimpse of what Michael Jackson's final shows would have been like.

And the film has received rave reviews so far. One critic calls it "an extraordinary pop culture phenomenon and a unique artistic memorial," while Andrew Barker of Variety says fans "will be in rapture" at MJ's "vocal prowess and dancing ability."

But the biggest praise came from Elizabeth Taylor, a close friend of Michael's for many years. The Academy Award-winning actress called it "the single most brilliant piece of filmmaking I have ever seen."

While all these good reviews will only booster the film's performance at the box office, we're guessing This Is It is virtually review-proof. All the top critics could call it utter trash, but that wouldn't stop Jackson's closest admirers from venturing out to see it.

So grab your fedora, a white glove and your best moon-walking shoes. Michael Jackson's final performance is just around the corner.

Saw the preview last night. I like MJ, not the hugest fan, but have to say he was awesome. The concert would have been phenomenal, and MJ came off as a super talented singer and dancer. He was humble, respectful, hard-working, kind, and surprise, surprise- SEXY. Its a must see.
