Michelle Obama Gets Kudos From Anna Wintour
Home run.
Post-inauguration madness is dying down and people (including Mr.President) are getting back to work, but everyone's still chattering about Mrs. O's fantastic wardrobe decisions.
It's one thing to dress well, but it's quite another thing to be praised by Anna Wintour herself. Michelle Obama is one talented woman, because that's exactly what happened.
.
The Toledo dress and jacket? Fab. Wearing Wu? Wonderful. But none of that really matters unless Anna Wintour, queen of all things fashion and editor of Vogue, agrees. And she totally does.
"We’ve been incredibly impressed by what she has worn, pulling off that tricky balance between the stylistically interesting and the absolutely appropriate."
.
Wintour also expressed pride that Michelle took inspiration from some Vogue favorites.
"We have a woman who is as happy in newer, less obvious designer choices like Wu and Toledo (both, incidentally, Vogue/CFDA Fashion Fund finalists, which made my heart swell that little bit more with pride) as she is in J.Crew and the Gap."
We couldn't agree more. It's going to be an exciting four years (maybe eight)! [via Style.com]
