Miley Cyrus' Scandalous Teen Choice Awards Performance

Is Miley growing up too fast?

By now you've probably all seen a clip or at least a picture of Miley Cyrus's performance at the Teen Choice Awards. So, what did you think? We thought Miley's performance and choice in clothing was way too scandalous for a 16-year-old!

We are well aware that kids are growing up faster these days. And 16 isn't what it once was. We think that whatever Miley (and her producers) want to do is fine, but shouldn't they have toned it down a bit for a teen award show?

Not only is Miley Cyrus a teenager, but she has millions of even younger fans, who love her for her portrayal of Hannah Montana. Well, now they've seen the scantily clad teen dancing with a pole on top of an ice cream cart. Does this just seem crazy to anyone else?

During her performance of "Party in the U.S.A.," Miley Cyrus is wearing super short black shorts that show off her long legs and high black boots. When she sings, "moving those hips like yeahh" she gets down and moves those hips. I literally cringed watching a 16-year-old do this. And yes, at one point, Miley gets on top of an ice cream cart with a stripper pole and gets down with it.

We're just surprised Miley's producers wouldn't be a little more careful when it comes to the star's image. While they can't control what she posts on her Twitter, they can totally control the clothes she wears and the dances she does on stage. She is still 16, after all.
