Miley Cyrus Tour Bus Crash: Driver Killed

Miley Cyrus and her entire crew were on their way from Virginia to North Carolina Friday morning when the bus driver leading the crew caravan drifted off the road and flipped his bus. That driver has been pronounced dead.

So far he is the only fatality being connected to the crash, which happened in Dinwiddie County, Virginia. Miley Cyrus was not on board (she was on another vehicle in the caravan), but the vehicle that crashed held 14 of her lighting crew. It's reported nine passengers are said to have sustained minor injuries.

The bus was headed to Greensboro, North Carolina where they're scheduled to play Sunday. So far reps affirm that the show will still take place.

Authorities suggest that the driver may have died while he was driving, which could explain why he drifted off the road in the first place.

The crash occurs during a rough patch in Miley Cyrus' career. We reported earlier this week that she's under fire for using a gay slur at a concert in Kentucky last week, and she didn't exactly win friends with her comment on a Cleveland radio station that she refuses to see the Twilight Saga.

However she did invite a team of cheerleaders onstage during an Indianapolis show this week, making one of the girls so happy she cried. Hopefully things will turn around for Miley Cyrus soon...check out video of the happy tears here.
