Minnesota Teen Not Allowed to Bring His Date to the Prom -- Because She's a Porn Star

Well, you can say one thing about 18-year-old Minnesota high school senior Mike Stone: he thinks big. The teen spent several weeks tweeting adult film stars to try to convince them to accompany him to his prom, but after snagging a date, his school has now nixed the idea of a porn star at the big dance.

Stone's Twitter quest netted him a date with a 19-year-old porn star named Megan Piper, after he tweeted promises of dinner, romance and a personal massage after the dance (ew).

Piper said if Stone would pay for her airfare to and from his Minnesota hometown, she would happily be his date for the Tartan High prom on May 12.

And then, reality stepped in: Tartan High school officials, unsurprisingly, were not thrilled with the idea of a porn star at the prom, saying her appearance would be "inconsistent" with the school's policies, which disallows visitors who are "not in the best interest of the school," according to Fox News.

Stone is reportedly still trying to raise the $400 plane fare via donations at Twitter, and, as if the whole porn star-as-prom date debacle wasn't enough, consider this: Stone actually got two porn stars to agree to be his date via Twitter.

An actress named Emy Reyes also agreed to be his date.

The prom thing probably isn't going to work out the way Stone hopes it will, but you have to admire his social media marketing savvy, no?
